Error when opening a password protected PDF document "Nothing to see here"
Reports produced by DrugPak Web are encrypted and password protected. The password protection may cause some PDF viewers to indicate that the document cannot be opened. (The above image is from using the Microsoft Edge web browser to open a PDF produced by DrugPak.)
This problem can be resolved by using a PDF viewer that is compatible with password protection, such as the Adobe Reader which can be installed from this link.
In some conditions Windows may automatically change the application that is automatically used to open PDF files. There are two ways to work around this behavior; manually open the document with a compatible application, or change the Windows default to a compatible reader.
Manually open a PDF with a password compatible reader
Save the file from the email to your computer then view the folder where the file has been saved to. Right-click the file and in the menu select "Open With" and then select your compatible reader.
Change the Windows default to a compatible reader
Save the file from the email to your computer then view the folder where the file has been saved to. Right-click the file and in the menu select "Open With" and then select "Choose another app".
Select the compatible reader and turn on "Always use this app to open .pdf files" and click OK.
